4K videos come to YouTube

YouTube announced support for 4K videos:
Today at the VidCon 2010 conference, we announced support for videos shot in 4K (a reference resolution of 4096 x 3072), meaning that now we support original video resolution from 360p all the way up to 4096p. To give some perspective on the size of 4K, the ideal screen size for a 4K video is 25 feet; IMAX movies are projected throughtwo 2k resolution projectors.
My gawd, if you're struggling with 1080p now...

Bought myself a Chumby One over the holidays. The Chumby One is basically an alarm clock on steroids. It does everything an alarm clock does and more. It comes with a 3.5" color LCD screen. The screen itself is a touchscreen, which is one of the primary interfaces to the device.

Here're some specs from their site:

The Chumby's main use is to display Flash-based widgets. There are more than a thousand widgets available for the Chumby platform covering a broad spectrum of categories. They have widgets for displaying all kinds of online content (social network feeds, photos from photo sites, headline news, etc.)

You control what widgets to display on your Chumby on their website. You're given one or more channels to add widgets to. When you tune to one of these channels on your Chumby, the widgets from that channel will be shown serially. Each widget is shown for a user-controllable length of time, typically 15 seconds or more.
